The Problem
How might we redesign Menten AI’s website to best benefit their diverse user streams and differentiate them from their competitors in the world of de novo protein and peptide design?
Project Goals
1. Encourage potential investors and pharmaceutical companies to partner with Menten AI.
2. Differentiate Menten AI from their competitors by explaining their distinct approach.
3. Encourage potential collaborators to contact Menten AI for a meeting to learn more about their products, applications and quantum approach.
THE PROCESS
Inception Diagram
An inception diagram which is a design tool to help you address the goal of your design through the mood you want it to convey as well as the design’s visual language.
Menten AI I wanted to create a website that optimizes Menten AI’s digital presence, thereby increasing their conversions by showcasing Menten AI’s applications, team, publications, and contact information.
Mood Board & Style Tile
My mood board was simply inspired by the colour orange. Interestingly, orange is thought of as the colour of warmth, adventure, success, creativity, confidence and even motivation. I wanted to portray a bold and creative mood using different shades of orange while still having an airy feel using white space.
Roboto was used as a header font as it is a fairly mechanical and geometric font to compliment the design shapes. And open sans was paired with robots as body text.
Design
1. A ‘Z’ pattern design to encourage the customer to keep reading.
2. Hexagonal shapes to mimic protein structure while containing scientific imagery.
3. Organic shapes to mimic the protein 3D shape - to be used as banners once again to encourage scroll.
4. Animation to draw readers attention to key points without relying on colour change.
